I bought me a shiny DX4450 (cheapo worky-o all-in-one printer)

No, cups works just fine, everything works fine, it's just that the driver won't actually initiate printing it seems

Ok, I have totally and utterly no clue what I did.... but she's working perfectly fine all of a suddenly!

Ok, I wrote a howto on getting the Epson Stylus to work. It will probably work for all the printers supported by the Gutenprint package.
