anyone try? i stumbled on this through the 2cpu site, in a how-to mod/overclock xeons. looks like instead of having to use conductive paint, etc, you can just block a pin, and away you go (ignore the arrow marker in the drawing in the link i posted, as the photo is meant for reference).

I'd like to have a new 'default' FSB for my Q6600. I've heard the mod has been working fine for this chip.

i here it heats up your ram though, and many are using extra fans to cool it down.
