This won't work with Longhorn but in XP you can change the LogonUI without software.
Firstly Enter Regedit, then go into
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>Windows NT>Current Version>Winlogon.
Under here change the 'UIHost' to whatever location your new logon Screen is kept, for example 'C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Logon\glass palm.exe' instead of 'Logonui'.
Remember to include the .exe extension and DO NOT RESTART OR LOG OFF, instead Press Winkey+L to test it.

Yes, or you can download Logon Loader which is much simpler to use for people that don't like to play with regedit. Thanks for the info, may be useful

nice tip there kw13, always easier for me to go play with registry than use a program if i know both ways

Thanks, I have bootscreens too, I might host them, it depends on how much space I have left on geocites lol. stupid server crashing and over quota *grumble grumble grumble* ohh well.
