Windows Vista Service Pack 1 RC Beta build has been upgraded to a new version, RC 6001.17036 v.652, but at the same time, also patched to close the hole of using a registry tweak that allows previous releases of Vista SP1 to be downloaded from Windows Update. However, the registry hack to download the new Vista SP1 still works :moreilly:

dang, it's one update after another. no sp1 mention in winver, or the watermark making it's debut. yet...i guess it takes a few updates going on before it sinks in... :moreilly: wow, this last one is 68 megs...
