anyone try? i stumbled on this through the 2cpu site, in a how-to mod/overclock xeons. looks like instead of having to use conductive paint, etc, you can just block a pin, and away you go :) (ignore the arrow marker in the drawing in the link i posted, as the photo is meant for reference).

now that would make for an interesting RMA project

I'd like to have a new 'default' FSB for my Q6600. :dribble: I've heard the mod has been working fine for this chip. :cheers:

I'm thinking of modding mine too :lust:

i here it heats up your ram though, and many are using extra fans to cool it down.
