errrrrrrr no it will run pcie x16 slot 1 @ x16/2.0 slot 2 runs @ 8x/2.0. Remember that spec 2.0 effectively doubles the data rate per lane over spec 1.0.....so a card at x8/2.0 will transfer as much data as a x16 slot spec 1.0. Thw GX chipset has integrated graphics and I beleive a total of 28 free pcie 2.0 lanes. The FX chip however has 41 free lanes and can run 2 vga cards @ x16/2.0..

Quick question, Which is better? Im about to purchase a MOBO here soon, and this ASUS caught the eye. I have an asus p4p800-D currently and have never had an issue with it. had my P4 OC'd from 2.4ghz to 2.80 for several years! BUT this one has caught some bad reviews, I dont plan on running more than two videos in a crossfire however.
ASUS M4A79 Deluxe
Or this GIGABYTE model which i've read very nice reviews on
GIG mobo
Thanks!

Nice! I'm really excited about this new board, do you use the new overclock dial?

nah I do all my oc in bios manually. I have ran this cpu/mobo at 300 mhz htt/mem buss and the cpu at 3.9 but it gets a tad warm so it's at 3.77 ghz on stock vcc, mem @ 1620, 7-7-7-22-1t , NB @ 2430 mhz HT @ 2167mhz, HTT/ mem buss @ 243 mhz. Completely stable I just stuck a Sapphire 5770 in mine so our rigs are rather similar hehe
