The Latest amazing FPS game F.E.A.R was finally released recently after the agonising wait since the demo was released.
To simply sum up the game... WOW !
You start off your first mission with the directive to take out a man named Paxton Fettel which apparently has paranormal powers, and thats what your Squad is for, you are Point in Paranormal Missions.
X-Files Fans will Love this game, and all of yous that where disappointed with Doom3 will find that FEAR is everything Doom3 is Not.
The AI are practically real, it reminds me of Versing some of the best players in Counterstrike tournaments, they work together, Dodge your aim and even fall back to regroup and even work out Ambush Tactics, I have bitten the bullet on more than one occasion Versing these AI even with the SlowMo Advantage.
The graphics are excellent, the game has Parallax Mapping and Pixel Shader effects to die for and the slowmotion effects and explosions are simply stunning! also if your video card can handle it Soft Shadows is Spectacular to see.
My system running an A64 FX53 and 1gb of ram i can use Maximum PC performance settings and with a 9800Pro i tweaked it nicely, Set medium GPU then go in and turn on Volumetric lights and Set Minimum Shadows and thats it, the best you can get for a 9800pro.
