So I tried connecting my old Samsung Mobile phone to my desktop.
But as usual, Samsung couldn't provide me with an up-to-date driver, but as there was a Windows Vista driver, I figured it should work.
How wrong could I've been? My system started BSoD'ing as if it was it's daily job. Within a minute after seeing the windows welcome screen, I'd see the Windows Blue Screen.
So, in a last, desparate move, I went into safe mode to try and uninstall the USB-driver from Samsung, to no avail.
Then I noticed I forgot to tweak down the System Restore function, giving me System Restore points all the way back to when I first installed this Win7.
That made me go Because after restoring to the point BEFORE I actually tried connecting the phone, all is well again!
So, top-tip for today:
Windows System Restore actually has a feature if you have hardware that's build by idiots.
