"Windows 7
Over the past few years, you've asked us to make some changes to Windows. We listened closely. Now it's time to share an early look at how we've used your feedback. Windows 7 is faster, more reliable, and makes it easier to do what you want. Both the everyday things and the killer "is that really possible?" things. Dig into this site to see what's coming. Want to try the Beta? Come back the afternoon of January 9. And remember—this is just a preview. There's more to come."

I am all giddy with excitement...yeah yeah I could have gotten it from other sources, but this is all legit baby.

Yeah, I don't see where to sign up for the download or the keys on the Windows 7 area yet. Thank for the links though Scara (nice direct downloads).

As per the blog:
"Due to very heavy traffic we’re seeing as a result of interest in the Windows 7 Beta, we are adding some additional infrastructure support to the Microsoft.com properties before we post the public beta. We want to ensure customers have the best possible experience when downloading the beta, and I’ll be posting here again soon once the beta goes live. Stay tuned! We are excited that you are excited!"

Well, thanks to Mike, I now have Windows 7 x64 all going on my home box and as the primary on my dell inspiron 1420 (and I didn't have to hunt down or load a single driver for the lappy). Now I haven't completely tested my devices on the lappy yet, but I will soon.
