As you'd expect with all the problems reported with iTunes 7, Apple today released an iTunes 7.0.1 update (25MB) for Mac and Windows users that is supposed to fix a number of problems with the popular music player. The software update doesn't give an indication about what the update fixes:
With iTunes 7 and the new iTunes Store, preview and purchase high-quality hit movies plus new and classic games designed exclusively for the Fifth Generation iPod. Flip through your collection by album cover with Cover Flow, protect your iTunes library by backing up to CDs or DVDs, and much more.iTunes 7.0.1 addresses stability and performance issues with Cover Flow, CD importing, iPod syncing, and more.
A discussion board post by Apple's Mark W. adds that iTunes 7.0.1 "addresses stability and performance issues with Cover Flow, CD importing, iPod syncing, and more."

Maybe because it's a MAC, and your a PC!
Probably!!
Well, I installed it! It took forever to install. However, I don't have any games with me at the moment. I know on the last version whenever you started a game the sound on itunes went crazy crappy!! Hopefully they fixed that since I like to listen to my own music while playing games.

And have you ever noticed it takes longer to turn on than any other program on a PC. I really think Apple did that on purpose. (did I say that outloud? sorry. not.)
