Do you think it will beat Firefox as it is now? i really do like IE 7.0 but its starting to appear nothing more than a flashy version of IE 6.0

What do you think?

I will always like Firefox Ie 7 has nothing on Firefox. Firefox has got extension and whats Ie 7 have ?

IE7 is to Firefox as Aero Glass is to Expose. It's an attempt to duplicate the functionality of another product that somehow manages to make it worse.

the first thing (and the second) i do when installing any MS OS, is to install FF and TB (even vista). though i like the spam filter, etc. of windows mail, i can't seem to bring myself to use it. mozilla, no matter what...even though there seem to be "proprietary enhancements" with ie7 and the MS mail client...

You know I think it doesn't really matter what new features are in IE7. Microsoft will still bundle it with Windows Vista. I would use IE7 but since MS doesn't support linux I'll use Firefox

i think we'll see better improvements when IE7 gets closer to RTM ...and all the kinks get worked out..right now its gonna have its problems and issues just like any other browser

True Story: I attended a Microsoft TechNet & TS2 event last week, and in both sessions the Microsoft reps gave us the official lint that "IE7 is secure" - immediately followed by "yeah, right". even their reps aren't buying that one, which is either a good thing or a very scary sign of what Redmond is doing - depending on your perspective.
