Hi all
I was just reading the above posts and was wondering what broadband speeds everybody around the world gets,
I live in Morayshire, Scotland and get 2meg broadband (adsl) which will be going up to 8meg when my ISP (Orange) upgrades my local exchange.
I always thought that the USA was way in front of the UK and was surprised to see the some of you still have a dial-up connection.
there again your country is massive compared to this little rock we stay on. (why do we still call it Great Britain beats me). ah well at least i come from Scotland. oh dear i have maybe started something here.

its not bad, the highest most residentials have is 1.5mbit down , 256k up but its expensive (~$70AU per month)...there is ADSL 2+ but only in the city (not city type suburbs) they are REALLY slowly upgrading exchanges, but due to Telstra - the internet in Australia is very poor compared to other countries
