Often there are requests on how to dual boot- especially when trying to add an earlier version of windows or a Linux distro.
I came across this guide that should be in anyones bookmarks who uses dual-booting-

Hey Roadrunner, I use to be against dual booting Linux with Windows because of the destruction Linux would cause to Windows. But Linux has come a long way since then. I am still a serious Linux neewbie but I can now dual boot with no problems. The main thing I have found, and this is only with Ubuntu/Debain distros is just leave the hard drive unallocated for the linux install. :(
