:) I can't wait to see what it looks like...hint hint.

here are the procs in their boxes:
Attached File  new_build_003.jpg   1.89MB   10 downloads

the tyan, in all it's glory:
Attached File  new_build_004.jpg   2.29MB   13 downloads

with the xeons installed (my first use of the lga sockets: they make this god-awful "crunching" sound when you latch them in :) ):
Attached File  new_build_005.jpg   2.16MB   14 downloads

the hsf adapters attached to the mobo pan. they sent the wrong size fasteners for these, so...
Attached File  new_build_006.jpg   1.82MB   4 downloads

...i had to improvise:
Attached File  new_build_007.jpg   2.21MB   5 downloads
(hehe, yep, i used mobo fasteners to cinch down the adapters, and sacrificed left over standoffs for a little insurance on the backside...yes, you all may now burst out singing " in the getto..." using your best elvis impersonations ;) )

Very pretty MO!!!! I was more surprised by the Core Voltage of 1.13 V than I was the temps. Is that the correct voltage???...talker. :)

Probably Everest bug.. Btw, buy good Digital thermometer, attach Sensor to Cpu, and look, or Touch bottom of radiator.. and go with your Feelings..

all in all check temps in Bios.. if Bios shows the same crap, probably you have damaged somehow sensor, or you got Faulty MB, or your Bios is Outdated and has bugs from the Begging..

btw, what is the Temperature like in your room ?

and One more Question.. what are you going to do with such "rough" calculation power ?

I bet now, and in the near future.. (Two, Three Years) there would be no Support for Eight Core CPUs, they barely manage to Create games for Dual Core CPUs.. not talking about Quad ones.. and completely forgetting about 8..

As I understood you would not be using this as Server, but as Home Entertainment System..
and if so... you definitely Wasted your money :) One CPU will be sittin' there just For FUN
Buying this for Folding ? I bet you not.. because it would be Completely stupid..
Also Games may crash on your System...

btw, no Offense i Just want to know :)

Cheers

Nice!!!! That mobo is beautiful :dribble:
Those temps will go up with alittle dust soon enough.
Maybe you need to turn up the heat for the house.
Is the Mrs. turning blue?
