intel just put up new drivers for their chipset sata raid, which will now allow raided, trim capable, ssds to receive trim commands from within win7. this is fantastic news for intel mobo raid/ssd users, as now win7 can inform single ssds in an array (no raid5, as of yet) to obey the os, and 'discard'/mark as 'ready for fresh writes' deleted data, a big maintenance time saver and performance enhancement unique to ssd tech, as it stands today. hey scara, time to put an array together

this is big stuff, enough for me to pull my drives off a higher performing card. trim and the garbage collection in the drives will keep them at peak performance, and the speed/faster response times with these drivers ain't too shabby, either
