ASUS Eee PC

But is it really worth it or you guys think I should be better off with a cheapo laptop? For the same price I could get one with a DVD player and much more storage, but the Eee PC looks like the absolute hassle-free, easy to use and stable laptop. I mean there's no Dell or HP crap (which you always have problems when you try to uninstall them)...
I get a free 2GB SD card if I buy it at NCIX.com
Also there is supposed to be a larger screen model to be released... Interesting, but will cost more I presume...

But if you don't want to wait, I've heard the Eee PC is pretty cool. The screen seems awfully small though.

I went to the ASUS site and the thingy looks pretty cool but I really don't need it. I have my systems at home, at the office, a sync'd PDA, and a wireless lappy. Granted, the Eee is MUCH smaller and lighter than my Sager lappy but would still be a redundancy but a serious consideration should the Sager bite the dust.

You would certainly get more lappy for your cash

I have a friend with one and he found it interesting for a very short time and hasn't liked it much past the initial purchase, novelty wears off quickly it seems, I would go for a cheaper lappy.

Personally, I would wait till the price drops a little more.
But if you really like it then go for it.
And if money is not a problem then I would suggest this upgrade-
It makes it really cool.
