Windows Vista Service Pack 1 RC Beta build has been upgraded to a new version, RC 6001.17036 v.652, but at the same time, also patched to close the hole of using a registry tweak that allows previous releases of Vista SP1 to be downloaded from Windows Update. However, the registry hack to download the new Vista SP1 still works

dang, it's one update after another. no sp1 mention in winver, or the watermark making it's debut. yet...i guess it takes a few updates going on before it sinks in...

well, after it went through the motions, i got "unable to install. reverting...". so i'll try it again, though i do have the watermark, but for build 6000, and an expiration date of 6/30/08...lol
