I've been running Fedora for a while now, but I can't figure out how to compile a driver for my wireless card. I'm going to go bezerk. I've never tried it before and I have no idea what I'm doing. I sound like an idiot, but I'm just going to be plain out straight with everyone. I know a lot about Windows and can do almost anything with it, but when i comes to linux, I'm a Noob. (crying uncontrollably). Any help? I have a Ralink RT2500 wireless card. It's the only thing I can't get working. I klove Fedora and don't want to scrap it. I got the driver from here:

Anyone know about how to deal with this sort of file? I have the 2.6.11 kernel, so in there, it would be the fedora folder, then the 2.6.2 folder under that. PLZ HELP BEFORE I DESTROY SOMTHING!!!!! WHAAAA!!! Also, I heard of some ppl on Microbeta telling me to use ndiswrapper, so how do I do that?

Thx, guys, I'm really appreciative of this. No one on MIcrobeta has a clue and hasn't responded. Thx a lot x2p. I just got done installing all the available updates for Fedora, but it still doesn't have anymore drivers for this card.

Ok, I've been doing some research on this stuff (well, more of it, anyway), and I found out a little about it. I figure that I use the command make and acess the makefile in the folder, but what are all the commands I use to compile the driver. I'm going to make a guide for this for anyone as confused as I am right now. I've read a little, but most of the pieces are missing. The page I read says to run the makefile in the command make, but after that it says a bunch of stuff about moving files around and junk and I just get confused from there. Plz and thx.

gamer_pro_2000 I must be honest with you, I have given up on your problem. Sorry to have to tell you that, maybe you should change distros or wait for the next release of Fedora

It's alright, don't worry about it, man. I've gone back to Windows XP for now, until they build a real driver for my machine. Thanks for the try.

ah, fortunately my parents left my computers alone apart from my stepdad used to turn it off by the plug if i left it on when i went out.

as you can imagine i got pretty annoyed.

Lol, well, I hadn't backed up my machine in about a month, so I lost everything. LOL!!! I back my machine up about once a week now, lol, for obvious reasons.

gamer_pro_2000 its a shame, if I was you I would either try Ubuntu or Suse 10.
