trim shmim...the more important thing is how the sammy controller/firmware take care of the drives, which works even in raid, so you really don't need trim all that much, but it doesn't hurt. just make sure you disable win7 defrag in scheduled tasks, and set power options so that the drives do not spin down (set to 'never' for drive power management. i use the 'performance' power settings). you can also use a ram drive to put temp and downloads on/for photochop scratch, etc.

Also, looks like my 3.5-2.5 HDD/SSD adapter won't be here for another 6 days or so. Can I install the drives and just let them sit loose until I get the adapter or is that a bad idea?

You guys want pictures of any of these components or the build or anything? I'm going to run PCMark tonight and then tomorrow after the build. Anyone interested in any benchmarks? I'll be running that CrystalMark or whatever the heck it's called tomorrow as well.

Tomorrow's the day. I already cleared my schedule for tomorrow night and am currently backing up all my RAID array data onto non-RAIDed drives. Need to find the camera battery but if I can't I'll use my crappy phone camera. Going to have to go digging for some AC5 too. Worse comes to worse I'm using whatever the crap is they send and worrying about it later. I *will* have this thing up and running tomorrow night.

About the danglin' (lol), I thought they'd be fine (especially with the whole no moving parts bit) but I read a review on Newegg where the guy said he was pissed that they don't include screws with the drives and he has to wait to install them until he has screws or something similar. I thought it was typical crap coming from someone who's never shorted a build on while it's out of the case with a screwdriver but I just wanted to make sure.

You can, being as the drives are very light, get away with attaching them in a 3.5/5.25 bay, on either side, with one or two screws That is how I have mine. Just make sure nothing is in the way to put pressure on drive (cables etc).
