Michael Schumacher today released a press release, during the Monza F1 race, that he will retire from racing end this season.
He will still be connected to Ferrari as advisor.
No news yet on the official Formula 1 website, but trust me, it's true!

Yes it is true. I'm utterly gutted. In my opinion the guy is irreplaceable. What a superstar. I've been a supporter of his since his debut in F1. Still, all good things must come to an end. I'm wondering how boring F1 will be without him.

I'm happy he leaves, he is one of the best drivers in F1, but well,, he's getting old and needs to make place for the young blood.
Sad to see such a driver go, good to see such an old fart leave the building

http://www.itv-f1.co...spx?PO_ID=37307 here's the proof. Sad day for F1 if you ask me. This season would already be over as far as the drivers championship if it weren't for Schumy.
