Microsoft One Care Problem

Hi guys/gals , I gotta question for u. My father recently installed Microsoft Live One Care on his entire network and then last night the main server (a storage server) wdecided that certain network drives were not going to be allowed access to the network. soo under the advisement of his (computer tech not me) he uninstalled MLOC from the server. now its having the same probles still. Heres what I have tried lets see if u can come up with an answer that will provide a solution.

I've checked
workgroup names
Subnet masking
Ip addressing
firewall settings
firewall exceptions
drive mapping
Physical checking to make sure nothing got unplugged
and finally I went ahead and cursed it under my breath...

Still to no success I havent a trouble free system... ( not counting the fact that its microsoft and not linux so it will always have those little troubles)

SOoooo. would someone from the great X64bit community pppllzzzzz give me a bit of a helping hand of information... <_<

well i dunno if these things help but...

Check Permissions for these drives, just like folders they are configurable.

Right click, sharing and security and then set who can see it over the lan (sharing) and who can see and use locally (security).

You may need to disable the sharing wizard to set these things if its not a Server OS and try other things before this or if only your sure permissions in this way, are the problem.
