I bought myself a new CPU-Cooler, the Arctic Freezer 7, but, by default, the fan runs at a minimum of somewhat 2400 RPM.
This is very useless, since at 70% (1700RPM give or take), the system runs cool enough (29 to 31 Celsius).
Now, I would like to have some sort of tool, to re-instruct my fancontroller, so I don't manually have to set it to 70% everytime.
Anyone know of some software that can achieve this?

Ok, this is stupid, I just notice, I got myself a new CPU cooler, not VGA...
But yeah, in speedfan I can throttle it, but it requires me to set it to 50% of it's speed, otherwise, it will still run at it's standard maximum. I'm searching for some sort of software that can recode the BIOS hardcoded setting of minimum-of-2400-RPM.
It's an MIS k9a2cf-f btw

go into bios /hw monitor/enable smat fan target, raise the target temp to a higher value like 60c and set minimun fan speed to 50% or lower , higher .You prolly need to try some different values to find a suitable speed. This should work with a 3 connector DC fan but preferably a 4 connector pwm fan. I had /have that board and it worked for me. Oh yeah if u have it on the cpu fan header it will increase automatically as the cpu load/temp increases

Ahh, excellent, that did the trick!
Sooooo nice and quiet now!
Target temp is 40C, minimum is 37.5%, 4-connector
Works like a charm!
