I gots me 64bit Vista Ultimate. I must say, it's far better then the RC2 I was using. The sound quality is supreme in it. I just watched Daredevil (what a load of poop) and the sound effects were sweet. Gonna watch Event horizon next. Should spook the crap outta me. Just thought I'd tell ya'll I moved to the dark side of OSs for now. I'll let you know what I think after I use it more.

Cool dude!! Glad some people are finally coming around to the fact that Vista isn't all that bad. Yes it has it's problems but it shows a lot of promise.

More advanced users do tend to like it

I'm liking it more and more as I use it. Some really sweet options on it. I'm quite partial to Windows Media Center.

I'm going to give Vista x64 a run as well. I've been toying with the idea of a psycho multi-boot again, but i don't think i will bother. I know that i will have to have XP on here as a backup for when i run into a problem that Vista x64 won't be able to handle. Anywho, great to hear you like Vista. I love Vista x86, so i hope x64 works great for me too (running Ultimate).

Well, here's my first Vista question.

Is there a way to stop the screen from fading when Vista asks is it ok to run an application? This is one thing I find very annoying. I gotta run out now so I don't have time to search for a solution myself

Yes, Turn off the UAC, I think you know what is safe for your computer and what is not.

Yeah it's really annoying, though for a casual user who isn't all that good with computers, I think it's a pretty good feature. But you can just turn it off like everyone does as Nvy said.

I'm glad you like Vista, there shall be no more fights between us on the subject. And like Chris said,Vista does have its drawbacks, but it has pretty nice features too!

Anyway goota run back to work...
