I voted No, I hope it is not just wishful thinking. I really dont think Microsoft should acquire Yahoo.

I think they will. Ballmer said they'd go hostile if Yahoo didn't agree. That pretty much means they're doomed. If I worked for Yahoo, I'd be watching for flying chairs about now.

I dont think jerry will let it happen, and the stockholders are resisting also.
At least i hope it does not happen, otherwise ill have to pass a WGA to get my email

Well...
As much as I like a lot of M$ software I do think its a bad acquisition... M$ is getting TOO big for their own good. Look at what happened to AMD and ATI.
That is looking it on the good side of M$.
Now, to the bad side... with all the money that M$ has they could go with an easier way to advertising. They have TOO much advertisements. I hate hotmail for it and love gmail for it. I like google's search engine for its simplicity, although I tend to like the msn.com site for its news and craps, I still like google for its FUNCTIONALITY with minimal ads... Yet when I see one I pay attention to it.
Maybe M$ should learn a bit from google and make a complete make over on its internet or live side and make it more productive, maybe then people will switch to them again and get more market share back...
REMOVE THE FREAKING ADS from hotmail and add all the functionality that google has... Everything is so easy and FAST to use.. no bloatware... I can accept bloatness in vista as i have the power to move it with all my pcs.. but internet is limited no matter how much time it goes by, so... bloatness on the net is NOT acceptable...
If they do acquire yahoo I hope they move to a less ad evolved type of business and be more like google.

They gave it a shot- and they said no.
Now they probably do what they did to netscape and just chip away at them little by little till there's nothing left.
Shame

Microhoo? I vote for yes, I figure if they want it then they'll get it, unless they do actually change their minds which seems doubtful.
