Anyone else here use Comcast for their ISP? I've been noticing some major increases in down speed the last week or so. Still hate 'em, but with just their regular high-speed plan (I think ~ 60 bucks per month, i'm bundled) been getting almost 2mb/s. For the last 4-5 years, my top was about 1.2mb/s. I googled for an announcement from them but couldn't find anything. Anyone else notice this?

what modem you got? yeah, they're doing that 'burst' thing on dl...it varies. they 'ask' you to do the comcast speedtest to see what's what. i'm looking at a faster modem to get the goods. a moto 6120, i think it is, as even comcast tech support say a higher bandwidth box will get better speeds with your existing plan...
