During the past few weeks I'm sure that most everyone here is aware of WikiLeaks and the persecution of its founder, Julian Assange. I don't want to bring politics into this but when a state representative who shall remain nameless says we need more sites like WikiLeaks, I tend to agree.

Just think about the stuff that our government does that is wrong that we do know about. Starting and continuing illegal wars and putting the lives of our troops in jeopardy in wars based on lies, Black Ops, Shadow Governments, assassinations, spying on Americans, putting the richest 1% of the population ahead of the poor, putting Corporations ahead of the well being of the general population. The list goes on and on.

Now consider the amount of things we don't know about or the truths that are currently being exposed.

I may be only one voice in six billion, but I intend to boycott any and every company and web site that persecutes in any way shape or form, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.

He is a true hero and a man of the people fighting for the little guys like you and I.

I'm sure I'll get flamed :eniparadoxgma: for this so let the fun begin.

I love my country, I fear my government...

Sorry, but this stuff has been going on for years, in every Government, nothing new, except WikiLeaks opened a few eyes to the few who were misguided :cc_surrender: I personally wasn't shocked by anything the documents stated, whether true or not.

Do we need anymore?

Well, it's gonna happen whether we like it or not. No information is safe now I'm afraid. Do I care?, not a fuckin jot! Will we ever know the whole truth?, probably not......ever.

:eniparadoxgma:

Mostly agreed, but the sheople need to wake up and this is their first minor jolt of reality.

As for caring?

Yes, I do care because I want a better world for my children and my family, their children and their children's children, not to mention the fact that I would like to leave this world a better place for future generations. The scorched earth policies of the government in collaboration with the corporate entities that have got our politicians in their back pockets has got to come to an end.

You may think that you live in a democracy, but the reality of it all is that we are all living under the crushing weight of fascism, or more correctly put... corporofascism; a term coined by of all people, Benito Amilcare Andrea Mussolini. You know who he was; one of Adolph Hitler's good buddies.

Our current government is no better than Russian Politboro. It is a false democracy where, as Joseph Stalin said, and I quote, "it doesn't matter who votes, it only matters who counts the votes".

There is way too much apathy in this country as well as the rest of the world as people go about their daily lives and don't give a damn or are just too ignorant to realize what is going on behind the scenes. How much longer will it be before this country ends up like every other nation that has attempted to attain empire?

All empires fail under the weight of their own decadence and it is only a matter of time. History has a tendency to repeat itself and it is well on its way to doing so even as I type this.

Just some food for thought...

Very true. Democracy is a just a word without meaning for our governments. Anyway, in the end of the day, the only thing that stands is the change. :eniparadoxgma:

Wholeheartedly agree. I've been saying this for years.

Trouble is, people are too scared of 'change', and it takes not a few, but a vast number of good people to enforce such 'change' :eniparadoxgma: Power, money and corruption are always just around the corner, should one be even thinking of attempting such 'change'.

If I had a choice of bringing a child into this world today, my answer would be the same as it has been for the last 10 years - Sadly, no way in hell!!

I'll live through this 'rotten to the core' Society because I'm already here, but I ain't making any of my offspring live through it :cc_surrender:
