Stripping the PC down ready for upgrade tonight and got my G/F to help me drain the cooling system.....BAD MOVE!! She let slip a hose and water/coolant poured into the PSU
Now, once you've all finished sniggering and laughing ,I need to know if the PSU is fuc£ed or salvageable? Maybe an open and dry out job? or not worth the hassle?
Jesus, I ain't even starting building yet and the 'gremlins' are working hard already!
Many thx.

Dunno MO? ain't opened it up yet but it wasn't flooded, I'd say about 5 capfuls of the above fluid. I notice, looking through the fan, that the circuit board is now dyed a lovely blue colour, matching the color of the fan, I rather like it lol
This is PSU

The danger lies mainly with the connections- if the liquid is conductive it will short across the connections causing the windings to heat up and begin to melt everything around them. If you just make sure it is completely dry in side you should be OK.

That's what I have I believe. Can't say anything bad about it.
I have a c2d, 4 or 5 hard drives, external HDD, 4870 1gb, creative elite pro, dvd drive, blah blah blah hooked up to it w/no issues.

You're out your gourd MO. OCZ's PSU's are consistently among the highest ranked. Don't take my word for it though--google some independent reviews.
