The Windows 8 Release Preview is nearly here and if the latest information is correct, June 1st is the day to mark your calendar. The information comes from Canouna who posted the Tweet and is well known within the Windows community for leaking images from the latest builds that are not publically available.
Canouna does have a solid track record for providing insider Windows 8 information and stated that his friends in Redmond confirmed the date too. The release date is a Friday, which does raise some concern but at the same time Microsoft does not provide official support for the platform, so it most likely won’t force anyone to work over the weekend to make sure the launch goes smoothly.
A retail launch date for Windows 8 has not been announced but it is widely believed that the final product will ship in October. If we are using Windows 7 as a baseline, we should see a Windows 8 RTM in July.

metro is awful. it is championed by young 'tweeters'/cell phone whores, people that like the most bland foods, the uneducated tv/youtube/'dancing with the stars' addicts/people with nothing to do but plaster their own ignominy on myspace/facebook, and of course, blogs. that said, the underpinnings of win8 are super, and i look forward to a win8 without the ghastly, mental patient pleasing/big business teet sucking metro ui.

well, lasted all an hour until a secure erase. i don't think ms are really concerned with making money on win8, but are more into forming users habits. dummy os ('windows for dummies' indeed). dumb terminal. terminal...

Lets face it. It's god damn awful! I hate the way MS have tried to 'force' the tablet/smartphone interface onto the PC user, without a choice. They can stick this so called OS up their backside, and I'll give it another shove up there for good measure
