A CLAIM by a PC World hack that Apple is about to ditch OS-X in favour of Microsoft Windows has sparked protests and cartoons from the faithful. John Dvorak quoted Yakov Epstein, a professor of psychology at Rutgers University who said there were four portents indicating this apocalypse was at hand.

The first was that the Apple Switch ad campaign was over, and nobody switched. The second was that iPod lost its FireWire connector because the PC world was the new target audience. The iPod failed to get people to move to the Mac and the final sign was that Apple had switched to the Intel microprocessor.

Dvorak adds that Apple’s obsession with shutting down Macintosh gossip sites could be because it fears that people might spill the beans on the Apple stratagem.

He said that the switch to Windows may have originally been planned for this year and may partly explain why Adobe didn't port itself to the Apple x86 platform.

To be honest this comes AFTER people read here Windows on Macs Officially

I don't think OSX is gonna get ditched, but i know for sure it will be difficult for Apple. What do you think?

oooo Very difficult indeed, however I don't think it'll be ditched. More competition when you open for a broad range of new users, just think, throw away Windows... It could be handy! Lots of hot machines

Hmm on another note it brings up this, I happened to get an invite for a free domain name for a business, upon accepting the account had to be "activiated", no problems there jsut took abotu 4 hours till it was activated, in between those 4 hours, when someone tried to access my url (mainly me) they would get and apache "set up complete" page where it tells what operating system you installed it on. Microsoft is using Red Hat on their servers!!!!
