Tell me am i better getting this or a PC for the same money, i never owned an Apple product so come on and convince me people...

PC FOR SURE!!! stuff MACs, they look bad and perform just as bad!! lol, you can do way more things on a PC, rather than what a MAC limits you to... its more value to go for a PC aswell, because its modifyable!

Only those who are tricked into paying out the extortionate amounts for a mac defend them because they don't want to feel like they wasted their money.

I personally do not think a mac is all that bad. (Guys, please don't kill me 
) But seriously, I used to have an imac, and although they do not have nearly as much "stuff" as PC's, they are very easy to use, are invulnerable to many kinds of viruses and trojans, and have great interfaces.
However, if you want one kw, I would get a mac mini instead. They are very small (about the size of a textbook) and at base configuration, are $500. Definitely go for it even if the only purpose is to try the mac os. However, as I said on microbeta, if you had to choose between your custom pc and the emac, get the pc.

Macs are great!! We use it everytime we go fishing! Keeps the boat right in the same place until we reel it in!
