Destroying sensitive data on CD/DVD

Got a DVD or CD that has sensitive data on it? Need to get rid of it? Breaking it is one option, But You can also place your DVD/CD's (couple at a time, not touching each other or on top of each other) on a glass plate and pop them in a Microwave oven for 5-10 seconds and watch the light show Be careful, the disk is hot and toasty when done

some1 told me about that but never tired... afraid that it may damage microwave ?

it very well can damage the microwave - if it sparks from the coating it can peirce a hole in the cavity, which = radiation even small sparks! :S

Well I use a slightly unconventional way to delete my old sensitive data.

well not really, your microwave oven is shielded from any radiation leakage

Or you could just run over it with a D8.

Well a D8T WH has 310HP and weighs about 85,000 pounds.
