Hello Dave I'm still here, I know, its a depressing thought buddy

No one has time for 'Forums' now my friend, all communication is done via mobile devices I'm afraid, and this (and other) boards offer nothing they cant get via that method. So their sad lives live in their pockets now, bigger than their knob I suspect?, but hey, we move on I guess buddy. Plus, the ever looming depression that is 'Windows 8' will just not go away meantime, so most, I suspect, will try to avoid being around that misery at all costs, and I dont blame them.

Good to see ya. Yea, I know. Finally broke down and got one of those new fangled phones too. Actually a Nokia 900, really like it. Been playing with Windows 8 also. My laptop was starting to go, so I bought a ASUS AIO 26" touchscreen PC and am dual booting 7 and 8. W8 is OK, but takes time getting used to. Most of the time im on the desktop with that hidious metro in the background. Loving the 26" hi def display though. Never thought youtube had anything worth while because i had nothing that would run at 1080, but this screen is beautiful. Watch a bunch of Jay Leno Garage. Other than that, im just getting old, and big type on the screen is a nice change

heck scara, i dunno, but i frequent forums, mostly hardware, and i have a 'smart' phone, but really don't find connecting with people that way fun or entertaining. in fact, i'm thinking of going back to a simple 'phone' only, as i don't even surf the web with the dang thing. it's crappy on a phone, and i even have a big woopty doo screen. i think you have hit the head on the nail, so to speak, re win8 being a non fun/backwards pointing experience of an OS, so no excitement like back in the day. heck dave i check in from time to time on a regular basis, and wish that i could see everybody on at one time. i miss all of ya. i'm just finally goofing with the hardware side of things, atm. haven't picked up my camera in ages, and am spending more time playing my bass and drinking more beer (if that could even be possible...).

I'm still here , usually check in every day or so, but like y'all things are kinda boring these days IMO. W8 sux so that ain't happenin,finally quit the last HCV treatment before it f'n killed me. Built a porch and deck on me new house, got a AR-15 with all the cool optics and laser sight so I can vent every now and then (got a coupla cases of 223 rounds ) also got a 45 Springfield Arms and a 9mm..........hmmmm after reading this I think I see a trend developing, oh f*k it they're worth more than money these days hehe. Guess I'll go shoot somethin ....GOD I'M BORED SHITLESS.........maybe I'll just go noodle around on my pedal steel geetar

I still check the boards ~ once per weekor so and really miss the days we all interacted on the new tech of the day. But as others have mentioned things sure are different these days. I have a love/hate relationship with my droid as it does some things really well but pisses me off endlessly when it won't do little things properly--like make a damn call.

I have noticed a trend where more and more people do almost all their interwebbing through their phone/iPad and it really worries me how MS is now pushing an Operating System that way. Hell, I haven't even tried 8 yet after Enip. tried a dual-boot with it one day last year and it hosed the NIC driver on his 7 partition.

I'll keep checking in here as long as you all will have me though. X64bit.net, a certain 'front page of the internet' that's turned into absolute dogshit, Enip. and my clan site, and fbook are where I hang out online, primarily.

Yahooojj, I am here as well. I check it time to time but the problem is that I don't sign in to post jsut check and go. No time nowadays, it's like people are getting busier everyday which is sad because there is not much social life here where I live, don't know how you guys have it there.
