Hi all, this is my first post on your forum, I found you by accident whilst trying out my 64bit XP. I recently upgraded my O/S to 64 bit XP and having been blown away by it's capabilitys I don't want to go back to 32 bit! My 32bit XP has the vista sidebar intergrated into it which I use all the time. My question is does anyone know if there's a 64bit version of the sidebar out there? cheers Kevin

Unfortunately, google sidebar isn't compatiable with x64 anymore, so that is out. I used to use Desktop Sidebar (if I remember right) for XP 64. I'll let you know when I find a solution (i'm running XP 64 again).

If it makes you feel any better, MS is doing away with the sidebar all together. In windows 7 your gadgets (ie. clock, calendar) will be right on your desktop

Hi and thanks for the reply, I just though that because the 32bit version from Vista has been successfully ported to 32bit XP the same would apply to the 64bit version. I have 64bit Vista installed on my system [I can't get on with it] as well as 64bit XP and 32bit XP of which I would rather use the XP64 now that I've tried it out. I tried installing the sidebar from desktopsidebar.com but it came up with a [.inf] error so I guess it's not 64bit compatible. The website lists the compatible O/S including XP but no mention of 64bit. I'm not giving up yet though! cheers Kevin
