Look at Vista man... Think about what they can do, 2011 is a good ways off, maybe they can make an operating system to decimate all... but then again, OSX could come out again and steal the lime light... Microsoft needs to get their act together and concentrate on one thing. Vista needs to be completed, then worry about Office 12 and all that addins, Windows Defender is pretty stable I Thought it should be ready I mean I TRIED to crash the sucker with no luck... They need to finish Vista THEN think about Singularity and Blackcomb.

NT is nearing the end of its Line
Basically this is nothing more than what was done with windows NT, they made a whole new kernel, built it up and replaced the old windows 3.1 kernel with the NT kernel and made windows 2000 and then XP, now next up is VISTA then after that it will be Singularity Kernel Based, nothing new here just MS refreshing the Kernel.

I think though V' that this will be much better, from the site that i saw this, its quite an extensive job, beyond any that they have undertaken.

So M$ isn't going to use the Nt kernel? What is the difference between the NT and the Singularity Kernel?

well think, 95, 98/98se and ME all used the same deal... NT, 2002, XP, and Vista are all on the same deal, time to move on, 4 each.
