Hey, i was wondering what the Best Wirless Router was out on the market today. I am wanting to maybe get a new one sometime soon. Granted, i dont want a 200 or 300 dollar router, thats just to much, but anywhere below that would be acceptable. The qualities i would like to see in a good router is, Great wireless strength to go through multiple walls and around 100 foot without any slowdown, have at least a 4 port switch built in, and great intergrated software for my port forwarding and all that great stuff. Everyone please give me your insight on this. thanks

IDK if they stilll have the rebate...I got a Netgear WGT624 v3 router with WPA, 108mbps and extended range, dual firewalls, and a whole buncha other stuff for $40, if you will believe it. You don't have to pay nearly as much for almost MIMo coverage, and it has excellent features and accelerated connectivity.

Linksys or Buffalo Tech are the only wireless brands I go with. I like Buffalo Tech because they are coming out with a really broad range of products, but Linksys has a solid reputation and they always have great products.

Belkin routers are the best, amazing stuff but listen to these folks...what do i know

xCIAx... linksys doesn't ALWAYS make good routers, obviously you haven't heard of the wireless-B

LOL, wireless B sucks. I had it for 2 weeks and found a sucker to buy it from me so i could upgrade to wireless G. That linksys yall are talking about? Its just 54 meg? And kw, if you are referring to your belkin modem/router, i would NEVER own that, you know the problems we have had with it. The netgear sounds interesting being at 108 meg, that means i would have better range right?

Well I happen to have one of those wireless B routers and it isn't that bad. I have had it for a good 4 years now and it has never failed me.

Man it happens with us all, people have a bad experience and avoid something, same for me, i wouldn't risk something again that hadn't worked for a friend or even myself once before unless i knew it was ok and the complete story...

For example my uncle said the PC i built is rubbish...i was watching him on my remote app and WOW he was in msconfig changing things and opening recycle bin settings...NOTE: make uncle a NON admin account

Every single WD hdd one of my freinds has buaght has died on him within a month and every replacement has died also. hes running seagates without issue

I got a WD 200gb, been running dreamy.

Yep...it uses the Atheros SUper G chipset, for better rang and speed. NAT and SPI firewall, VPN passthrough, and a HUGE deal at $40.
