Japanese video game maker Nintendo Co. has hinted that it is going to price its new family video game console Wii not more than 25,000 yen in Japan or $250 in the United States.
This price will be highly competitive against the products of rivals, Sony's PlayStation 3, which is set to go on sale in November and Microsoft's Xbox 360, which is already in the market. Sony has indicated that PS3 will carry a price tag of between $499 and $599 in the U.S. and 59,800 yen in Japan. There will be a more expensive higher-end version available in Japan.

Very good marketing stratergy by Nintendo, the only question will be. Is it worth almost paying double for one of the other consoles?
