[Roadrunner]

I am thinking of buying a core2 duo setup- but I am stuck on what motherboard to buy.
There are boards that will work but they seem to be designed for older processors and will work with the Conroes also- at least some will.
I have been reading about the new NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI chipset and am wondering if it would be best to wait for those boards to come out and see how they perform. The reviews have been pretty good so far-

Oh- and yes I was thinking going with SLI- but if you think it would be better going with ATI please let me know what board you recomend and why!

I am stuck on AMD.. I still have my first AMD 550 running my next computer was a intel 1.1ghz that is long gone lasted 2 yrs then there is my current amd 3400 sempron 64 bit

No problem with that!
Most of us have been AMD for a while.
I have the option of doing alot of "hand - me-downs" in my house so an upgrade doesn't seem like such a waste. When I build the new system an ATHLON 1.2 G will be retired- or better yet put into "FOLDING" work
