I'm afraid so. Too bad. I liked the Badger.

I thought David Cook was great. And I can not believe Carly was in the bottom 3. IMO she has never been weak ( a sign of a winner).
Thank God Archaleta came back strong. If anyone can beat the odds and get past, the unforgiveable, forgetting the words, he can. Such a talent.

Ding dong the Badger's gone. The wicked badger's gone!!! :-)

Sorry BR. It almost didn't matter how she sang. I just couldn't get past the fugly hair.

Dave, I think Rameile may make it as far as 3rd or 4th. She's getting fanatical support from Filipinos. When I vote, the circuits are busy for her more than anyone else. Based on busy circuits, Archuleto will be top guy. Remember the Hawaiian girl that wore the flower in season 2? She went at least 3 weeks further than she should have based on performance alone.

Carly Smithson probably has the best voice. There's something about her I just don't like. She seems to have the attitude victory is owed to her because she got screwed on a previous album deal.

On a side note, it's been reported this years contestants are all super divas and difficult to work with. Especially compared to last year's bunch. The aww shucks. I just happy to be here portrayed on air is purely a facade.

AI really needs to limit the voting to 5 votes per phone line like Dancing with the Stars. Too many people have nothing better to do than hit redial for 2 hours. :-( That will never happen because AI is too wrapped up in how many votes came in. The unrestricted voting is what turns it into a popularity contest rather than a "talent" show.

Kelly Pickler was hot!! Last night she was better than any of the contestants this week. Of course that was a country song rather than Beatles. ;-) She only finished 7th or 8th. She's doing well in overall album sales.

Edit:

I can't help but wonder if Kelly was lip syncing. Every time she clapped her hands to pump up the crowd there was the sound of no hands clapping. :graduated:

"fugly hair" :rofl_mini: and a fugly voice too, but I loved it. I still think there is a place for her better than just partying at some bar. I hope she can get a break. She's alot of fun :cc_surrender:

Some people like the sound of a badgers nails on a chalkboard :cc_surrender:

On a side note, id say a lot of folks watch AI in my neighborhood, When Amanda would sing, the dogs in the neighborhood would start howling

Ramiele -
I don't think she could be any cuter. She sings too?

Chikezie -
Honestly can't remember. He'll be gone tomorrow.

Kristy -
Best she's done. But go to any baseball game, and you'll hear the same during the 7th inning stretch.

David Archuletta -
He needs to choose better songs. That one sucked.

Michael Johns -
He likes Queen songs and he sings them well. You can't go wrong with We Are The Champions.

Brooke White -
Her screw-up at the beginning distracted me, but the rest was good.

David Cook -
A very original take on a Michael Jackson song. He will probably win this competition.

Carly Smithson -
I must have gone to the bathroom or something during her performance.

Jason Castro -
Hate the way he moves his eyebrows when he sings.

Syesha -
Good vocals I guess. I don't like the songs she picks.

Cruise Ship Idol 2008 with the "most talented final 12 ever" (the annual hype repeated year after year) continues to be a snooze fest!!! Last night I didn't like anyone's song choice. And I love Country. Nobody had a great performance! :sphere: Every week I hope Rameile will break out. I haven't seen any growth there. This year waiting for the contestants to improve is like watching paint dry or grass grow. :g:

Did anyone enjoy last night's show???

I thought they were all pretty good last night, You sure your hearing-aid wasn't turned off or you mistook the misses babbling for the singers or maybe just a simple case of ear wax build-up? :g:

Bottom 3 tonite, Ramiele, Jason, Kristy - I think Ramiele is going to go

It wasn't the way they sung them. I just didn't like the songs they picked. :sphere: As usual, Simon was the most accurate judge. :g:

It was very predictable.

The only surprise was that Micheal Johns was better than ever. I love blues.

As usual David Cook was great. I thought that all of them sang well.

Ramiele was the weakest. It is strange. At the begining of the series she was so strong and confident. Something in her changed 3 or 4 weeks back.

Is anyone going to bother watching Idol gives back tonight? I'll probably record it and FF through all but 1 or 2 performances.

Perhaps the reason I'm so critical of this years contestants is they brought in what I consider to be several ringers that could be considered pros though not successful ones. Those I feel fall into this group would be Carly Smithson, Jason Castro, David Cook, David Archuleta and Michael Johns. Week after week they are basically the same with no changes other than the songs they sing. Past seasons there was obvious growth in the contestants as they learned more about the craft. Kristy Lee Cook is the only contestant to improve from the starting point 3 weeks in a row. Brooke White doesn't strike me as one of the pro-ams but she hasn't improved since the final 12 either. Below is an item from TMZ.com which highlights what I'm saying. If you are interested in the video... you should find it here:

I hate the way tmz does video links. You may have to scroll down the right column for David Archuleta even though the "get Link.' Copy Link." was taken off his video. :g:
