patty and my daughter love to save everything they download (but rarely backup), so it's time to go TB shopping. what is out there that is free from bad FW and the like? WD? Samsung? dare i say...Seagate? i need something with a decent rep, a workhorse drive :giggle:

FWIW, im using a WD Green 1TB SATA. It runs cool and for a year now, no problems. Its almost full. see if you can get a WDG1.5TB they are cheaper now.

Im gonna have to fire up the Segate 1TB soon

I ordered 2 x 1tb WD Greens yesterday for my mirrored RAID back up.

Good to hear yours is good after a year, Nvy. :giggle:

WD's have always been good to me. they look right fine...

I've been running my Seagate for two years now I think, maybe more, without any issue, but not sure it applies though since it's kinda older technology.
