Those expatriates that remember the "old" chess room (*cough*) will remember why Aries, Brewin, and I decided to name it after Mr. Kasparov. Now, he's finally getting some mainstream recognition for his greatness thanks to the viral video going around of his appearance on a certain TV show. This is a guy that, I believe, transcends borders and is worth getting behind for every citizen of the world.
Act 1: Become the greatest chess player that has ever lived.
Act 2: Use your greatness to inspire the world's greatest programmers to beat you at a game called chess. Algorithm vs. algorithm, position against intuition.
Act 3: Risk your life and the safety of your family to fight for a free press, rule of law, and free elections in Russia.
Godspeed Garry. Godspeed.
