Sweet, thanks guys!! Yeah, I am looking forward to MI:3, X3, and Cars. However, I don't much like the Fast and the Furious shows, they need acting in them.

hey, I noticed m.oreilly mentioned dvd shrink. I love that program. Also it works well with AutoGordianKnot. AutoGk is a program that will compress the .vob files that dvd shrink creates. It can compress them into any specified Mb .avi file size! I have taken 4.5gig dvd shrink files to 650Mb w/ little reduction in quality (as viewed on a laptop). AutoGk is free software too. So, if you wana shrink a dvd to your hard drive, I'd suggest AutoGk.

Though, I must admit, that our views on reduction in quality may not be 100% the same :chriso:

FYI, Next tuesday, Fast & Furious TD is out, in october a few good movies are out, one being Mission Impossible 3 you can bet they have encryption. Time to update your backup software

Yes, and if the updates don't come quick enough I then switch to 2 more freebies to get the job down.
RipIt4Me which manages to get the really stubborn ones on to the HDD. (a nice app that uses DVD Decrypter, FixVTS, & DVD Shrink). And if that falls short a run through VOB Blanker will take away any crap keeping you from burning your backup. Totally free! :storm:

Burn automatically with ImgBurn from DVD Shrink
http://forum.digital...ead.php?t=63869
This is an all time life saver (well time anyway).

ImgBurn is by the same author as DVDDecrypter only it is updated. The link above has the link for the ver of DVD Shrink that enables ImgBurn, and instructions.

Also I love DVDFab Decrypter 3 (also free). It too is updated and now allows main movie and full disk ripping.

I find this combination to be the fastest and easiest and most reliable way to backup your movies.
(well hey it works for me)
Im with you. I think you and I have always have seen eye to eye when it comes to dvd burning.

Even though this app is posted under the Zune Desktop Theme I thought I would stick here as well. This app is for extracting .MSI files. It is a very small app that does not install. You merely unzip and click the EXE file, direct it to the MSI file and extract. When closed, the program is no longer resident in any way...talker. :talker:
