Here is a weird one for ya, installing CS2 at work on a new Dell Precision T3500 with XPx64 on it and during the install, got the error "Cannot install into the directory, invalid characters..." or something like that. It wouldn't install into the \programs(x86) directory due to the parentheses in the directory location. used the "\program~" to bypass it, but I had never seen an error like that before. I was baffled. Anyone else seen something like that before?

Out of curiosity had you ever installed it in WinXP x64 before?
From what I have just read on the intertubes, it is due to the fact that CS2 isn't supported by XP x64. There was one reference to a guy who attempted to install to the Program Files directory. He said it installed to the Program Files (x86) directory anyway but then gave errors when he tried to run it:
Serial number not found" in Acrobat 7 and "Name, Company or Serial Number missing or incorrect" in Photoshop
Out of curiosity had you ever installed it in WinXP x64 before?
