They have to compete with pirated versions-

They don't use too many legit copies either. In the last 4 weeks at our computer store, XP has out sold Vista (in any flavor), 20 to 1. We still give our customers a choice on a new build...talker.

I have a few customers that are using x64 and they are getting their copies from school for a great discount (I wish I could...sigh ). These customers have been advised, usually by teachers, to use x64 for its robustness and strengths. However, the x64 users are probably less than 1/10 of 1% which is a goodly number of people but not enough to have much influence...talker.
