I'm around lurking, only thing I've seen interesting in the pc building world is the intel z99 chipset with quad channel ddr4 support, and of course the ssd's are finally getting reasonably priced.,other than that it seems like a smart phone world and we're a dumb phone breed (sigh)

agreed. i haven't looked at any comp tech site for almost two years now...money pits they is (new builds). also haven't flushed out the water cooling or de-fuzzed fans/rad in that same amount of time either lol...

Hey everyone! Still around, I think MO and Hapex are the only ones I'm with on fbook but in the last year I went to Iceland, quit smoking, and the Cubs might* be good next year. Hope you guys are all well!

Thanks Nvy, back at ya, hope things are well! My pooch passed away a few years ago. He lived a good life though, promise. The last few months he basically lived on a plush couch, had all the steak he could eat, and was carried everywhere like a Roman emperor.

wow, you went to iceland? i was just lookig at pics of the northern lights wishing i could see them in person

Yeah, about a year ago. Didn't see the Northern Lights while I was there, unfortunately, but got some cell phone pics of the country: https://www.flickr.c...th/15795012921/

Stayed about a week in Reykjavik and drove around as far north as I could but a lot of it wasn't safe to drive to while I was there. Everyone was really cool and friendly and the seafood... my god, absolutely amazing. The only time that was even slightly weird was when my hotel desk guy made a quip about Americans "...not being good with computers and technology." Had to set him straight on that one lol.
