Hey guys, sorry if this is wrong section or place to ask but maybe someone can help me. My forum just got bombarded with ****** spam, what can you advice me please what tools can i get to stop it?

I was trying to google something about this but with no avail. Sorry to bother but really need some help with this.

Firstly, we lock down our forums so new members cant post spam in their personal profile. we also dont let our member list be searched by spiders. new members are not allowed to post code or pictures, as you can see in your post.

Secondly, what we do is run the username through our spam filter:



If we dont find anything we can cross search your IP or e-mail address to our database:



and through the magic of computers and internet we can determine if the user is a spammer.

BTW, you dont seem to have a very good track record
