http://www.otakusoft....com/deskspace/
this gui enhancement was created by the the folks responsible for the Yod'm multi desktop app we heard about awhile ago. otaku has purchased the desk cube app (think beryl for windows), renamed it "deskspace", and is holding a beta. i think there is promise, though this R3 release is still quite buggy (in vista 32bit).

Maybe im stupid but what does this do? Does it allow you to have multiple desktops say with multiple users logged in to each one? Does it allow open programs to run in separate desktops much like having dual monitors?

So how is it on resources? Does it have a large impact on GPU/CPU and memory?

well, it does use a brief bit of memory and cpu cycles during flipping. i also get system buzzer during repeated spins, and now seem to have lost my task bar
(i really love the look of the lone start button)

i installed the latest rc(4) this morning: buggy as all get out. i wish MS would have something like this (ie; that worked).
