I just got my DFI mobo today! :chriso:

Anyway, I was wondering if there is a way to do screenprints in the BIOS?
... like in windows hitting the [PrtScrn] to use later?
I've seen postings with BIOS ref's in them ... So, I'm assuming it can be done.

Anyone???

Try this:

1. Enter BIOS Setup
2. When the screen you want is displayed press the Print Screen button (or CTRL + Print Screen or ALT + Print Screen).
3. Exit Setup and continue the boot-up process.
4. Once your OS is loaded the desired screen must be found in the printer buffer. There must be a way to read such information, i think !

[ I haven't tried this ]

Print Screen would not work with a USB printer. It might work with a really old dot matrix printer or something.

Easiest thing to do is take a picture of it with a camera.

Good Digital camera's are not so cheap, but they do have decent ones for about $100 I bought a Fujifilm FinePix6.3 with a 1GB SD card for $110 on newegg.

My Aramaic is a little rusty, but I think it says "Go buy a digital camera, 'cause Print Screen ain't gonna work at all."

the camera idea sound good to me.

It used to be a no-brainer with a printer hooked up in the parallel port. I could just hit the Prt Scrn Button then. But with the USB printer I have never been able to print a bios. It seems to me that printer manufacturers could add the instruction to the usb drivers. Maybe if we bitch to them enough they will! :chriso:

I think it says something like

"Screenshots can not be held responsible for crashes, errors or other faulty information. If you want a good screenshot, you will need to copy this screen by hand"

But I might be a bit off, it looks like arachinaish to me...

That's what I'm hoping.
Every time I've heard (k not every time) a great BIOS tweak to >>>X>>>Y>>>>Z>>>>

It's something I can't do with ASUS.

Plus it's Yellow and Black Baby!
And that'll match the crazzy spray paint action I did in the case

ASUS does great out of the gate. Don't get me wrong.
In fact, with the exception of a FoxCon board years back ... and an MSI around the same time ...
I've always gone ASUS.
A little tweak here and a little there ...
I had my FX 60 upto 3.3 at one point.
But later ran into voltage issues that I couldn't over come.
........... granted, I may have been coming from the wrong direction, but ...

Almost 80% of the suggested fixes for those issues were tied to options that either over fixed the issue causing too much heat, or simply weren't availble.

So, in the end 'am I bashing ASUS'?
No. I would definately still buy their products. ~~ my 8800GTX is ASUS, my 16X DVD is ASUS.

But, what if ...
What if I can take this 6000+ upto 3.5?
With air cooling?
:P
..... THE STOCK HEAT SINK AND FAN!
:boom:
Can you do that with an ASUS?
Maybe.
But the extra voltage control will make the diff :storm:
-------------- Least that's what I'm gonna find out :bluerip:
